Before the launch of the cubesat, the girls visited the 100 MW Nur Navoi Solar PV station in the Karmana district of the Navoi region. This is the first solar PV plant in Uzbekistan.

Nur Navoi specialists presented the Solar PV technology used on the site, the data monitoring process. Girls asked various questions about cyber security of the data, electricity generation efficiency, sensors for the dust monitoring on the panels. The site specialists showed how the site operates.

Programme participants are girls who are planning to study and work in the tech sector and expressed an interest to undertake an internship at the Masdar PV plants in Uzbekistan.
